Petro Middle East, a leading supplier of products and solutions for the oil and gas industry, participated in the prestigious ADIPEC event held in Abu Dhabi. Recognizing the importance of standing out at such a high-profile event, PME approached us to create a series of 3D anamorphic videos to showcase the diverse offerings of four of their partnering companies, each of which had a presence at their exhibition stall. The videos, designed to captivate attendees, were displayed on large LED screens and became a key highlight of PME’s participation at ADIPEC.
PME wanted to create an immersive experience for their clients and potential partners at ADIPEC, where they could vividly display their technological innovations and capabilities. The brief was to produce four 10-15 second videos, each tailored to represent the distinct identity and brand ethos of PME’s partnering companies. The content needed to encapsulate what each company stands for, along with showcasing their contributions to the oil and gas sector. The videos were to be displayed in their exhibition space, giving the brands prominence and creating a lasting impact on event attendees.
The primary challenge was to ensure the accurate representation of four distinct brands, all while maintaining PME’s overarching identity. Each video had to clearly communicate the specific services and values of each partnering company, making it critical to balance creative design with brand guidelines. Additionally, given the 3D anamorphic format, achieving the correct visual effects on-site required precise planning and multiple testing phases. The approval process involved continuous feedback from PME, which called for close collaboration and numerous revisions before finalizing each video.
To ensure a successful outcome, we initiated the project by developing detailed 2D storyboards for each video, which served as a visual guide for PME. This allowed us to incorporate their feedback early in the process, enabling a smooth transition from concept to animation. We then proceeded with creating custom 3D models and animations that aligned with each company’s branding. Multiple on-site recce sessions were conducted to test the visuals on the LED displays, ensuring that the anamorphic effects translated perfectly in the physical space. Daily communication with PME allowed us to keep the project aligned with their vision, ensuring all approvals were timely and efficient.
Our team focused on creating anamorphic content that would stand out at PME’s ADIPEC exhibition. We began by building 2D storyboards that reflected each brand’s core values and industry contributions. Collaborating closely with PME, we made sure the videos would not only convey the right message but also maximize the visual impact when displayed on their large LED screens. Each video was meticulously designed to fit the technical specifications of the screen setup, ensuring the 3D effects would leave a lasting impression on event attendees.
The anamorphic format required precise on-site testing to ensure that the final videos achieved the desired depth and visual appeal. Our team conducted multiple recce sessions at the event site, testing the animations in the actual LED environment. This allowed us to adjust the visuals and fine-tune the effects so that they appeared immersive and dynamic from the audience’s viewpoint. Regular feedback from PME ensured that the videos not only met technical requirements but also aligned with the branding and messaging goals of each partnering company.
